Mattawan Bands Annual Band “Donation”
In an effort to make things more simple for band parents, band boosters, and the directors, we have made an adjustment to how money is collected for various items throughout the school year. Instead of collecting money for each individual need as it comes up, we will collect all money at the beginning of the year in the form of an annual band donation. For example, this means your child will no longer need $5 for a shirt or $3 for a reed during the course of the year, we will simply be able to provide the items to your child as they are needed without having to have the student serve as the “middle man.” This makes accounting for this money easier for the directors, band boosters, and parents since it is being collected up front and not on an “IOU” basis.
The band directors and band boosters are willing to work on an individual case by case basis in the event that this policy creates a financial strain for any of our band families, simply contact one of the directors to discuss any issues.
